GameFlock
Privacy Policy
Effective August 2026
GameFlock is a collection of party games for iMessage. This policy describes everything the app collects, which is deliberately little.
What we collect
- A random player ID. Created on first launch. It is not your phone number, Apple ID, or contact information, and we could not connect it to your identity if we tried.
- Your chosen display name and avatar. Players pick (or are assigned) a playful name like "Sneaky Walrus" and an animal avatar. These are shown to the people you play with.
- Gameplay data. Game state, moves, scores, and messages you type in a game's chat are sent to our game server (Convex) so your friends can see them, and are retained only as long as needed to run the game.
- Usage analytics. We use PostHog to record product events (for example: a game was started or finished, which game, app version) tied to the random player ID. This tells us which games people enjoy and where the app breaks.
What we never collect
- Your iMessage conversations, contacts, or phone number.
- Your name, email, location, or anything that identifies you.
- Advertising identifiers. There are no ads and no tracking across other apps or websites.
What we do with it
Run the games and improve the app. Nothing else. We do not sell data, share it for advertising, or use it to profile you.
Deletion
Deleting the app removes your player ID from your device. To have your analytics events and profile deleted from our systems, email us the player name you used and we will remove them.
Children
GameFlock does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. There are no accounts and no personal data fields.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address.
